Job description:

Must have a warm and friendly personality, be sensitive and understanding to the feelings and needs of children and be willing to fulfill responsibilities in accordance with the Center’s program and philosophy. Must meet the requirements of the licensing agencies and/or accreditation organizations.

Job Requirements

MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK 2pm-6pm (2-5 days per week)

Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to, the following:
• Assist in planning and implementing the daily program under the direction of the Executive Director.
• Assist in planning and preparing the learning environment, setting up interest centers, and preparing needed materials and supplies.
•Respond and react to the needs of the children and the classroom.
• Help with the general housekeeping tasks.
• Maintain a professional attitude and loyalty to the center at all times.
• Treat all children with dignity and respect at all times.
• Positively engage children during play to scaffold the learning experiences of each child
• Help supervise and promote activities designed to enhance the healthy emotional, social, intellectual, and physical development of children enrolled at the center.
• Help children establish good habits of personal hygiene; change diapers and assist with toilet training.
• Supervise all activities to ensure safety at all times.
• Report to Executive Director any problem that may occur with the children.


Physical Requirements
Must have the ability to:
• Lift up to 40 lbs.• Repetitive bending, stretching, and stooping.  • Climb up and down stairs

Must enjoy being outdoors!
