Child Care ExperienceI have been in the field of childhood education for the past 8 years.  I turned to the field after my daughter was born in 2009, I found myself wanting to find out more and more about her development.  The more I learned, the more I began to realize that I needed to pursue early childhood education.  Early childhood education quickly became my passion. I truly believe that being apart of a child's development is one of the most rewarding experiences you could be involved in.

Favorite Activities to Do With the Kids: I love learning in the outdoors. I find it fascinating! My favorite place to read a story is under the perfect tree. I enjoy simple conversations with kids - because their imaginations amaze me. I also enjoy music and dance with little ones.

Why I Love Sandy Hook Child Care Center: SHCCC is in a location that can't be beat! The environment of the beautiful Sandy Hook Bay makes for an incredible learning experience on a daily basis. I am so excited to be a part of such a unique little preschool!

Child Care ExperienceI started babysitting when I was 12 years old and also worked with special needs children while in high school. I started working at Sandy Hook Child Care 8 years ago and have learned an incredible amount in these 8 years.  Through continued education, trainings, and hands on experience, I have learned so much about the Early Childhood field and feel I have really grown as a teacher and as a person.

Favorite Activities to Do With the Kids: I love playing outside in our yard and going to the beach. I also like going for walks on the bike trail and coming up with fun games to play on our adventures.

Why I Love Sandy Hook Child Care Center: I love Sandy Hook Child Care Center because of how small the school is. Each kid gets their own kind of love and attention. I love how homey the school is and how close the staff and families are. I also love the ability to use nature as a way of learning for the children.

Child Care ExperienceI started babysitting when I was about thirteen. Since then I knew I wanted to work with kids. Working with kids is great because I get to be a part of their day to day routine, I get to watch them learn and grow. Being a part of a child’s learning process and seeing them develop over the years is a wonderful feeling, and I wouldn’t trade it for the world.

Favorite Activities to Do With the Kids: I love to play outside in the yard with the kids. I love taking the pretend boat to New York, and going fishing in the ocean. I love to play tag, and the monster game. I also enjoy reading stories to the kids and doing art projects.
